Well yes and know. Nevertheless the fact the line up of the band changed all the time featuring big names such as Jimmy Page and Jeff Beck, this band was one of the most influencing bands of the sixties.
So this is the work Eric Clapton was actually co-responsible for, because he already left the band in 1965. If you play the full album, you will find out that For Your Love is somewhat a strange track to the album, being much more an R&B track than a blues song. Although this particular song became a big success, this song was the reason Clapton left the band, because he wanted to stay close to the blues. Jimmy Page turned the offer down to take his place (!) and suggested Jeff Beck. (Page joined later).
Big names, so no wonder they had a big influence on British blues, also because they played with rhythms, turning them upside down, slowing them down or speeding them up. And when Jimmy Page entered the band he switched from bass to lead guitar, playing along with Jeff Beck, it only became even better. But Clapton was long gone by then.
1965 recording, including the screaming ladies :-)
