Gary Clark JR. - Blak & Blu

I had never heard of the guy in my life and I can't remember where or why I downloaded it. Tagged as being a blues-rock album I was already surprised by the funk-blues sound of the first track, and I was like WTF?? on the third track when contemporary R&B found its way through my Dr. Dre pro headset. And since my headset can't be wrong i went checking if something was wrong with my player to see if the same album was still playing.
After a rock and roll song, more contemporary R&B, contemporary blues, retro-soul, neo-soul and even Texas blues and a alternative/indie rock track, my thought was: 'this guy is extremely talented, but could he please make up his mind?' Lmao
I went to All Music to read about the artist and was happy to see I am not the only one that came to the above conclusion. Very promising artist you should keep an ear out for.

I chose a blues track, but one song is by far not enough to check out this interesting album.

And if you happen to be one of those people that likes to tag your music in a proper way, you will have to do it by hand
