John Fogerty - Wrote a Song For Everyone

Critics are weird people. First John Fogerty brings us Creedence Clearwater Revival, one of the most influencing bands in the history of pop and rockmusic. Then he brings us more than 10 fine solo albums. And now in 2013 he has a fun time with friends reviving old CCR songs (+ a couple of new tracks) performed with or by guests, such as Keith Urban, Foo fighters, Kid Rock and Bob Seger and then they complain it doesn't sound like swamp rock anymore (because in the original versions the old CCR songs did of course).

And there is a catch to that even, because John refused to play these old CCR songs solo, even live on stage, for decades because he was tied up in a nasty legal battle with Saul Zaentz, the head of his former record label Fantasy.

REAL Fogerty fans are happy with this album, so am I. And I am not even a real Fogerty fan, but more a CCR fan and it is nice to hear some of those songs in a different setting. And geezzz if you want to hear those in the old swamp rock versions, simply play them, they are all still there?

Imagine these guys even get paid to write reviews and I don't. Seriously if you get paid to do so, use some brain cells and pay some respect to one of the living legends of rock!
