No wonder it was first used in a commercial way for a song of Cher, who can't sing anyway. That auto-tune became known as the Cher-effect keeps reminding me of that, but that is another story.
I am sure the more R&B-ish sound sells more records these days, but Maroon 5 does not really gives me ear pleasure with it. When voices start to sound as synthesizers I am gone.
I downed the deluxe version, but even the remixes don't get me off my chair and videos I always delete before hitting the down button, because I am very old school. I listen to music, I don't watch it.
That said, my song of choice actually does have a nice clip, never say never, but the appearance of Jagger does help haha. It is a good song anyway, even WITH auto-tune you can create good stuff, problem is most of the time they overdo it, like it is a competition who can sound as less human as possible.
Cher is probably an alien anyway.
