There is a funny story to this band that was formed in 1964 and sold over 70 million copies worldwide so far. They were selected by Decca Records to promote "deramic stereo" and were supposed to deliver an album with a rock version of Dvorak 12th symphony, seriously. Stereo, unlike in the USA where it already was common in the late fifties, was only used for classical music in those days in Europe still. And the psychedelic sound of The Moody Blues (a mix of rock and classical music) was supposed to bring the deramic stereo to the public. Luckily they managed to convince Decca to make there own album (not this one). It made them famous.
