Zucchero - Miserere

Sometimes he sounds like Carlos Santana, sometimes it is just Italo Pop or a sensitive Italian ballad and the next moment it is classical crossover. With Albums from Zucchero Fornaciari you never know what is coming next.

On the other hand that is the one wrong thing with Zucchero at the same time. You never know what you are buying. The guy has a habit of creating one famous song at a time, like Senza Un Madonna (with Paul Young) or in this case on this album the title track Miserere, which is an opera crossover. He performs that live with artists like Bono or Luciano Pavarotti, puts it on an album, names the album Miserere and ... people will find out that it is in fact the only track on the album like it and the rest is totally different. Strange way to sell records if you ask me.

Don't believe me? Track down this record and you will find out there are 2 versions. One is from 1992 and shows Zucchero "Sugar" Fornaciari on the cover and no title at all (the above). One is from 1994 and shows only Zucchero with album title Miserere.
Oh well, everybody needs to make a living, isn't it?
