B-52's - Bouncing Off the Satellites

When you form a band after a drunk party in a Chinese restaurant without having any musical experience, you name it The B-52's and your first release is "Rock Lobster" you are doomed to fail, right?

Wrong!

You will draw the attention of someone like David Byrne (of course!) and get favors down the road from people like Nile Rodgers. It's obvious!
Well it is ... to the B-52's.

No they are not named after the famous bomber airplane and no, that cocktail with the same name that will hit you like a rock (lobster?) has nothing to do with it either.

B-52's is southern slang for that high topped wigs that singers Cindy Wilson and Kate Pierson always wear.

That reason alone would be enough to choose "Wig" as clip, but it also happens to be my favorite song from this album (although there are many other good songs to choose from, like "Girl From Ipanema Goes To Greenland" and "Summer of Love"). Also "Communicate" is both a great and an interesting track. Interesting because it is one of the few actually (right away recognizable) serious songs they ever made.
