Bad Lieutenant - Never Cry Another Tear

Named after Abel Ferrara's famous movie, this band was formed by Bernard Sumner (ex Joy Division, ex New Order). The line up existed of other members from bands of the high times of new wave music.
So far this has been their only album and I don't even know if they still exist, but I can assure you this album is worthwhile playing.

The only problem with this album is that it is 20 years late. I personally hate the fact that the music industry comes up with so called new styles and genres every single day, so that even when you try to tag stuff in a disciplined way, still you end up with hundreds of sub genres in no time.

And if that is not enough then they start to split it in periods so you are stuck with terms as retro wave, post punk alternative or contemporary post new romantics indie whatever.

Seriously this may be a 2009 album, this is New Wave music and no more than that and I just wish it was released 20 years ago so I could have listened to it for 20 years already. This is a fine album. Some tracks like Summer Days may be a little more modern but even that track would do fine being followed in your play list by Talk talk or Tears for Fears.
