Since electronic lounge (real lounge music is something else, that goes back to the sixties in Brazil) became popular there are so many obscure labels releasing albums to make money it is hard to find some good ones, because a lot of those albums are really horrible.
A lot of lounge tracks, no matter if they are NU Jazz, chill, ambient, trip-hop-ish or whatever, are covers of well know tracks. Now that is no real big problem if the performing artists really make an effort, but a lot are just B-Quality cover bands happy to make a dime by being thrown as cheap as possible on a various artists album to grab some royalties.
The team from Beat Lounge however has a fine nose (and ear) for picking out the better performances and turn those into a mix.
What you may not like about these mixes is the fact they are one track recorded mixes or the fact within these mixes on speed shifts they fill the gap with advertising their label. So occasionally you run into a spoke text in Russian or Spanish telling you this is Beat Lounge and who mixed the album.
No link, they are not on you tube I guess. But I did find out you can find them on Mixcloud, so you can check them out there.
