Cesaria Evora - Nha Sentimento

Le Grande Dame from Cabo Verde used influences from African, Latin and European traditions but always with that unique flavor: morna from Cape Verde (which is what Fado is to Portugal).

She always performed bare footed as a silent protest, in support of the homeless and poor women and children of her country.

Cesaria left this world in 2011 but she is still setting the standard for everyone else. Someone that fully deserved her diva status.
