When everything else already has been done, you just create a new sound people don't even know there is a market for.
That is what Amy Lee and Ben Moody must have thought when they met at a youth camp back in 1994.But they were right. Operatic Goth pop, or as I call it Goth metal rock, because most tracks have those metallic guitar riffs that give the band that specific sound.
Even after several replacements and even after Ben Moody left, the band remained popular throughout the years, with a lot of hits as result and number one chart positions for several albums.
