Kanye West - Yeezus

Very experimental and weird rap album. Not bad, but like halfway through the album I kind of lost my interest and noticed I wasn't paying attention anymore. On the other hand I think this is an album you need to grow into.
It is like being on a space trip to mars and Daft Punk, The Human League and Kanye are all on board and team up in the back for a jam session to kill time on the long trip.
Seriously this is rap mixed with new wave influences and space synth sounds. It may seem like a big Kany ego trip, but I think Kanye is just trying to find a new direction here. Of course there will be a lot of complaints and boo's from the scene, but I find it not so strange. Amongst the rap artists there are many really talented musicians who will reach a point where they want to explore. A real artist needs to do so and where the introvert ones may want to do so within rap only, the more extrovert may find other paths to follow.
It is a step and I wonder where he is going.
