Everyone knows when it comes to a lot of music styles, the British scene is a special division within the existing genre. It is no different with Club/Dance, but when it comes to dance music in Europe there are two more countries which are famous. The first would be the Dutch, delivering numerous top DJ's over the years, the second would be Italy. Not only this country delivers a lot of good mixers, the tradition already started with the Italo Disco.
Gigi D'Agostino too started out back in the 80's but moved to London later on to be close to the club scene. He had several big hits, such as the remix of Nick Kershaw's 'The Riddle' and not to forget the smash hit 'I'll fly with you (L'Amour Toujours)'. He is known as one of the pioneers of progressive house music.
When you go to clubs you want the music to lift you up and make you feel you are in a trance. D'Agostino knows perfectly how to do so, that's why I chose this particular track. It sounds so simple, it keeps repeating and some might say 'hey this is not music!' But the lazy beat underneath and the choice of sounds make all the difference. You need to feel it. A lot of people try, but there are not so many DJ's/Mixers that really feel the audience.
