Adèle Bloemendaal, Leen Jongerwaard & Piet Romer - Liedjes uit 't Schaep Met de 5 Pooten

Songs from the legendary Dutch 60's comical television series "the Sheep with the 5 legs" written by Harry Bannink. Yes those early days of television in black and white haha.

Bannink's songs are like perfect catching exactly what life was all about in the Netherlands back in the 60's. In a funny way he points out changing morality and society, very often using different points of view in a very clever way, like in "Eenzame bokser" (lonely fighter) which is both a moral song against boxing and telling people if you want to get somewhere in life, you need to fight for it. Songs like "We zijn toch op de wereld om mekaar te helpen nietwaar" and "Het zal je kind maar wezen" still remain popular. Personally I really like "Waar vind je tegenwoordig nog een goede timmerman" (where to find a good carpenter these days), a song about the singers cousin who hides a carpenter in the attic, locked up, only to let him out when a job needs to be done, because it is almost impossible to find a good carpenter.
Wait... sounds familiar? You can't find a good carpenter? Well this song is 45 years old, so if you find one, you know what to do!
It is also a fun song because to put more power to this "prayer" they made the tune into something that sounds like a Gregorian chant.

This is not the original version, but taken from the 2006 remake of the television series for which they arranged the best possible and almost perfect cast. Yes, that popular! Also the original songs still exist, but the original television series are lost, because in those days tapes were re-used. Big loss!
