Carlos Embales and his Septeto Nacional are famous for their Rumba music, but on this album thye take a side step to (mostly) Bolero, Guanguancó, Pregón and Son. Really nice Cuban Music.I prefer this over Rumba, but that is because I always considered that to be a slow version of the Cha Cha Cha abd I never got the rhythm right. Dancing that is. Then again I also hated to waltz. And slow dancing in discotheques. They had not invented Ritalin yet back then :-)
As all Cubans do they cry a lot over stuff in this album (Llora como llore, Sola y Triste (can it get any worse?) but there are happy songs as well (like Coco may may).
