Hip Hop Essentials - Vol. 4

4th volume of this 12 piece disc set about hip hop between 1979 and 1991, containing some groundbreaking songs like "Don't Believe the Hype" (Public Enemy), "Go See the Doctor" (Kool Moe Dee) and "Me, So Horny" (2 Live Crew). These are the songs that remind me the most, but taking a look at the tracklist, almost all tracks are from artists that already were or would became big names or acts. LL Cool J., Run-D.M.C., Kurtis Blow, they are all there.

And yes we still do have a message to spread. Like the dangers of drugs in "White Lines" from one of the real hip hop pioneers: Grandmaster Flash & the Furious Five.
