Horace Trahan & The Ossun Express - ...By Special Request

This 2013 album is a cover album from this great Zydeco artist and band. For the record, Ossun is the town in Louisiana where Horace comes from. H started to learn the play the accordion at the age of 15 and a couple of years later he was already touring with D.L. Menard, one of the big shots in Cajun/Zydeco music. He turned out to be a natural and formed a band "The Ossun Express", although they played a lot of venue's the band never got recorded with the original members. Nevertheless they became so successful that when the members left or got replaced people named it the NEW Ossun express.

This is Zydeco of the best kind. It was really hard to find, but if you want to hear Zydeco in its pure form.... check this clip out, it is awesome just the voice, the accordion and the scrub board. Say isn't that the wiri wiri? Cool! I never stumble upon stuff like that at the local supermarket!
