Music For The Millions: Gems From Bell Records USA 1956-1960

This is one of those great oldies gems triple CD's containing 60 tracks total. And like each and every one of them you think "oh yes so great to hear this song again''. Which proves great music was made in the late fifties and in the sixties and, like it or not, all modern music is based on this music for it is the start of modern pop music. Roots!

It is of no use whatsoever to state some tracks are better than others, after all these were all big hits. Just check the tracklist and listen and watch my choices.

CD 1

Actually this is my choice of the first 20 tracks, because most of it is rockabilly and this is one of those great country style hits which were relatively rare. Love the song and if I close my eyes I can hear my mother still humming it. (To be honest I wanted to chode Dottie Evans' "Lucky Lips" for that reason but could not find it on tube).

Another hard choice between "Just walking in the rain" from Edna Mcgriff and "Singing the Blues" by Bruce Adams, but okay I just can not resist a clip with a scratched paint sprayed over original cracking on a antique player, haha. Vinyl rules!

Well yeah, okay Elsie Rhodes' Whatever Will Be Will Be' (Que Sera Sera) is awesome too.
