Anita O'Day & the Gary McFarland Orchestra - All the Sad Young Men

When it comes to Vocal Jazz and especially to swing Anita O'Day next to Frank Sinatra and Ella Fitzgerald is the most successful artist of her time. Living a fast life (even becoming a drug and alcohol addict) she could swing as any men, but did not become as successful with the wide audience Sinatra and Fitzgerald were, but the real jazz audience appreciated her just as much.

O'Day released a lot of records (imagine in her Verve period (big jazz label) alone she released 20 albums) and worked with every big jazz artist you can imagine.
