The XX - XX

Londons based Indie Pop / Dream Pop band. Dream Pop? Okay this goes to Art Pop again, my way of tagging bands like this so when I hit a genre i get similar stuff and I don't need to create smart playlists with 150 different sub genres.


The band was formed by Oliver Slim and Romy Madley-Croft in school when they were 15. Baria Qureshi and Jamie Smith joined later, but Qureshi was forced to leave the band although it was said she left at first. 

XX was highly ranked in several pop charts and with reason because this is a beautiful intimate album from some really talented people. A bit folky here and there and with multiple strings to new wave, but more sophisticated and more ambient.
