Paul Young & The Q-Tips - Some Kind of Wonderful

Why does this album exist? Well you may know Paul Young from his solo career in the eighties, but he actually started out as a musician in a new wave band. When that band broke up, Young and several other members of the band quickly formed the Q-Tips. But when CBS recognized his talent and his solo potential it was done and over with.

CBS was right, he had multiple hits in the eighties, mostly with covers, but in the nineties he had a lot of problems with his voice and he had to back down for quite some time. 1993 the year of his last solo album at the time is also the year of release of this Q-Tips album. Not a coincidence, when you know you can't sing for quite some time it is time to cash out, right?
The album was re-issued in 1999 with 14 tracks, the one from 1993 has 10 tracks only.
