The Electric Swing Circus - The Electric Swing Circus

The revival of swing started out with artists such as Yonderboi, bringing in old swing rhythms and riffs into electronic music. Becoming more popular in time more bands started to form playing only modern electronic swing, plus several artists found their way playing acoustic swing again, like for instance Caro Emerald.

I really like this kind of music, but it is even more fun when you go clip hunting, because with the revival of the genre swing dance revived as well and there are many many fun clips out there with this kind of music, showing parts of swing dance competitions.
And seriously, that is not only fun to watch and listen but is really amazing what top dancers are capable of!

Six-piece band The Electric Swing Circus was only formed in 2011 and this self titled album was actually crowd funded. Goodbye music industry....

Since their start they played several big festivals including of course some swingamajig festivals, collaborated with other big swing artist, made a clip for a movie (The penniless Optimist) and their track Valentine was even used as backing track in the semi-finals of New Zealand's Got Talent.
