Hip Hop Essentials - Vol. 10

I find this the less interesting volume of the series. It has less real classic hits. Actually only one, "The Power" from Chill Rob G, but that song is a rap remake of the same song from Plan C, which already was a big hit, same upbeat dance speed, so actually only rhimes added. So that leaves us with just "It's Like That" from Run-D.M.C.

A lot of the tracks on this album are build around a simple drum computer sample. Not that I have anything against those. For instance "The Bridge Is Over" from Boogie Down Productions is a great song, but too many of those on one album kinds of gets boring. 

Next to that Kid 'N Play is a nice track as well: "Do This My Way"
